Lol credit!

So while I was scanning my credit card statement and I noticed that my minimum payment is a whopping $12.. Damn. I'll be an overachiever and pay $20. But then in the corner there is a little (really little) box that says if I only make the minimum payment and make no more charges it'll take me 8 years (!!!) to pay it off and wind up paying ~$1,000 in interest alone. Next thing you know I'll get an offer that I'm pre-qualified for a $500k mortgage.

For my love

I know it's for a good cause but..

"Change your FB profile picture to a cartoon from your childhood. The goal? To not see a human face on FB till Monday, December 6th. Join the fight against child abuse & copy & paste to your status to invite your friends to do the same."

And how would changing my profile picture on a social networking site help the fight against child abuse? As opposed to donating/volunteering for these guys:

From the top of Macy's..

I'm glad she won

Kamala Harris looking fierce.
Via (Towleroad)

In what was probably one of the closest races in the 2010 election, Kamala Harris ever so slightly defeated opponent L.A district attorney Steve Cooley by about 73,102 votes. And the news get's better! During her victory party (I wonder if the booze was free) she said that her office will not defend Prop 8. "We will not defend proposition 8 because it is simply unconstitutional..."

Hopefully some progress will be made in LGBTQ rights and she'll keep to her word unlike other elected officals.

8th & Market

A regular customer at 8th & Market.
So that's the Starbucks I work at in San Francisco. First off it's a very busy location, and some most of my customers are homeless peoples. I mean just yesterday someone took our tip jar (apparently that happens quite occasionally at that store..)

I've been working there for about a week and overall the store is ok~ The partners I work with are really awesome and make working at there somewhat bearable, but at the same time I'm not too fond of it. Hopefully I'll go to my second store (which is what I was told before and after I got here) soon!
